Waldcafé Thalersee
We were contracted to supply approx. 150 m² of smoothly planed terrace boards made of Accoya for construction of a lakeside terrace at Waldcafé's Thalersee.
Structural analysis was mandatory for planners and public developers, as a large proportion of the surfaces was laid over beams, which increased the risk of collapse if any of the boards failed. Accoya has general building authority approval, which made it easier to obtain this analysis.
With this approval, Accoya is authorised for use as timber structural elements in use classes 1 to 3. Outdoor use is permitted up to use class 3.2 according to DIN 68800-1. Thermally modified wood is unable to fulfil this requirement.
The result is certainly impressive and creates an inviting destination for a relaxed outing to the lake.
