B (I): Tiny knots are permissible. Other knots and knotholes are permissible up to an individual diameter of 6 mm and a total diameter of 12 mm/m². Closed cracks and debarking flaws are permissible up to a length of 100 mm and up to one flaw per metre of board width. Also, slight discolorations and ropiness are permitted. Other flaws are strictly limited.
S (II): Tiny knots are permissible. Healthy inter-grown knots and knotholes are permissible up to an individual diameter of 20 m and a total diameter of 50 mm/m². Other knots and repaired knotholes are permissible up to an individual diameter of 10 m and a total diameter of 25 mm/m². Repaired cracks and debarking flaws up to a width of 2 mm wide and 200 mm long are limited to one flaw per metre of board width. Closed cracks and debarking flaws are permissible up to a length of 200 mm and up to 2 flaws per metre of board width. Slight discolorations and ropiness are permitted. One wood plug/m² is permissible.
BB (III): Tiny knots are permissible. Healthy knots up to a diameter of 25 mm are limited to a total diameter of 60 mm/m². Other knots and knotholes are permissible up to an individual diameter of 6 mm and a total diameter of 25 mm/m². Repaired open cracks and debarking flaws are permissible up to a width of 2 mm and a length of 200 mm with a maximum of one per metre of board width. Slight discolouration, roughness, and sand through are permissible. Wood plugs are permissible up to 3% of the surface area. Glue stain is only permissible on 5% of the board surface.
CP (IV): Tiny knots and healthy knots are permissible up to an individual diameter of 65 mm and a total diameter of 600 mm//m² . Other knots and knotholes up to 15 mm diameter are limited to a total diameter of 100 mm/m². Open cracks and debarking flaws are permissible up to a width of 4 mm and up to 2 per metre of board width. Discolouration, staining, roughness, slight sand through, glue stains, and wood plugs are permissible.
