Assembly Guide
- Measure the widtth of a board and pre-set the installation tool (double board width plus 10 mm).
- Set the pressure plate to the board thickness. Tighten the screws with the accompanying Allen wrench.
- Fasten one side of the first board with screws. On the opposite side, hammer in the first IGEL row with a hammer.
- Screw in the first IGEL row (max. 4 Nm).
- Place the next board.
- Position the board flush on the end.
- Put on the second IGEL row.
- Put on the pre-set installation tool. Press the board down firmly.
- Tighten the installation tool. The resulting joint should be a maximum of 5 mm. If applicable, readjust the installation tool while it is not tightened.
- Screw in the IGEL while it is in a tightened state (max. 4 Nm).
To be Observed
- Do not exceed the recommended beam spacing of max 50 cm in the substructures!
- Orientate the spacing of the supporting beams according to the load and plank size. For a normal load and size of 25 × 145 mm, this is approximately 60 cm, and for 45 × 145 mm it is approx. 90 cm.
- If your covering joins in the length, please use two supporting beams.
- The distance between the end of the board and the IGEL must be min. 3 cm.
- Install with a slope of 1% for better water runoff.
- Pre-drill the screws including the head to prevent crack formation.
- Use two screws per board width; each one should be approx. 3 cm from the side edge.
- Drill the screw holes approx. 5 to 7 cm from the end of the board.
